This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and protect your personal information and screenplay data when you use our website, mobile interface, database synchronization channels, and editor application (collectively, the "Service").

OUR SOLEMN PRIVACY PROMISE: Wraita will NEVER sell, lease, or distribute your private screenplays, dialogue, outlines, or ideas to advertisers or third-party brokers. We NEVER use your creative writing data to train AI models.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum necessary information to deliver an exceptionally secure, collaborative, and professional screenwriting environment.

Account Metadata: When you create a Wraita account, we collect your full name, email address, password hashes, and your selected plan tier (Free, Pro, or Enterprise). This data is critical for account verification, authentication, subscription billing, and support communications.

Creative Content (Script Data): We securely store and process the text content of your screenplays, cast databases, outlines, character notes, collaborators' list, and comments. This data is transmitted securely over HTTPS and stored on our Google Cloud Firestore servers to allow real-time device synchronization and seamless collaboration.

On-Demand AI Prompts & Completions: When you explicitly trigger an AI writing assistant action (such as "Rephrase Dialogue" or "Expand Scene"), we transmit the specific highlighted text block and a small context window of surrounding scene lines to our AI processing API. This information is processed transiently and is never stored, logged, or saved by our LLM API providers.

Diagnostic & Technical Logs: If you encounter a bug or explicitly select "Copy Diagnostics," we compile temporary technical metadata (such as your browser version, viewport dimensions, script structure counts, and operating system) to help resolve your support requests.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal and creative data strictly to fulfill our services to you:

  • To initialize and update your screenwriting drafts seamlessly across your devices.
  • To transmit and resolve editor comments and outline adjustments between you and your authorized project collaborators.
  • To render and format high-fidelity DOCX and Word exports matching industry-standard guidelines.
  • To verify and activate your Pro or Enterprise subscription benefits (such as priority support channels).

3. Data Confidentiality & Secure Storage

Your screenplays are highly confidential assets. We treat them with standard enterprise-grade safety controls:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is fully encrypted using TLS (HTTPS).
  • Encryption at Rest: Your drafts are hosted in secure Firestore databases, encrypted at rest by Google Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Access Controls: Firebase Security Rules strictly isolate project databases. No user, developer, or guest can read, search, or edit your drafts unless you explicitly enter their email address in the "Collaborate" panel.

4. AI API Processing Transparency

We are dedicated to safeguarding your creative property from modern artificial intelligence exploitation:

  • We do NOT use your screenplay data to train any large language models.
  • We require our AI API proxy providers (including OpenRouter and Gemini enterprise endpoints) to contractually guarantee that zero user prompt text transmitted from Wraita is written, stored, or processed to fine-tune machine learning models.

5. Cookies and Local Client Cache

Wraita uses standard client-side storage (LocalStorage, SessionStorage, and IndexedDB) strictly for necessary operational purposes, including keeping you signed in safely, remembering your visual editor preferences, and caching your active drafts locally to enable seamless offline editing. We do not deploy invasive third-party ad-tracking scripts or behavioral tracking cookies on our screenwriting workspace.

6. Your Rights, Data Portability, and Account Purges

You hold complete command over your data. You can export your full scripts in Microsoft Word (DOCX) format at any time with a single click. When you click "Delete Account" inside the Settings tab, our database immediately runs a comprehensive deletion job. All scripts, database records, collaborator shares, and profiles belonging to your user ID are irreversibly destroyed from our live servers. No historical backups of your screenplays are maintained past this deletion cycle.

Welcome to Wraita. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Wraita website, application, real-time collaboration services, screenplay conversion engine, and browser-based editors (collectively, the "Service").

Please read these Terms carefully before creating an account or using the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

CRITICAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY GUARANTEE: You retain 100% ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights to any screenplays, outlines, comments, or dialogue you write, paste, or upload within Wraita. Wraita does not claim, nor will it ever claim, any license, rights, or ownership over your creative works.

1. User Accounts and Eligibility

To access certain features of the Service, including saving documents to the cloud, collaborating with other authors, or utilizing AI assistance, you must register for an account. By registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information; maintain the security of your credentials; and accept all responsibility for activities that occur under your account.

2. Account Tiers and Plan Descriptions

Wraita offers three distinct account tiers to support writers at various levels of their careers:

Free Account: Designed for individual screenwriters and small teams. It includes standard professional screenplay formatting (Courier 12pt, Hollywood margin rules), secure cloud synchronization, basic real-time collaboration, and DOCX/Word document exports. This tier is free forever.

Pro Account: Designed for advanced screenwriters requiring rich productivity enhancers. It includes everything in the Free Account, plus on-demand AI writing assistance, unlimited automated screenplay conversions, and priority customer service.

Enterprise Account: Tailored for professional writers rooms, independent studios, and enterprise-grade productions. It includes advanced administrative panel controls, role-based collaborator access management, dedicated account managers, and custom SLA support.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content Ownership (The Screenwriter's Safe Harbor): Your creative work is entirely yours. Wraita does not claim any license, copyright, distribution rights, or ownership over your screenplays, outlines, comments, characters, or structural ideas (collectively, "User Content"). You grant Wraita only the limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license strictly necessary to execute the technical mechanics of the Service on your behalf.

Wraita's Platform IP: The Service, including the design of the editor, custom CSS styles, brand logos, code, server infrastructure, proprietary conversion parser algorithms, and visual interfaces, are the exclusive property of Wraita and its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

4. AI-Assisted Writing Features & Fair Use

For Pro and Enterprise users, Wraita provides built-in AI assistance. These features are designed to enhance your workflow under the following strict boundaries:

  • On-Demand Execution Only: The AI assistant never scans or transmits your creative writing in the background. It is triggered only when you explicitly highlight a block of text and select an action.
  • No Model Training: Your script content is strictly processed on-the-fly and is never stored, retained, or used by Wraita or our third-party LLM providers to train machine learning foundation models.
  • Factual and Creative Responsibility: AI output is provided "AS IS". You hold sole creative and legal responsibility for incorporating any AI-suggested content into your scripts.
  • Abuse & Fair Use Limits: You are prohibited from using automated scripts or robots to scrape, batch-submit, or overload Wraita's AI servers. System abuse may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your Pro status without refund.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WRAITA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WRAITA, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DATA LOSS, CREATIVE DISRUPTION, OR SYSTEM DOWNTIME, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY BY DOWNLOADING DOCX COPIES REGULARLY.

What gets sent to the AI

When you use an AI writing action, Wraita sends the text of the current screenplay block, recent story context, and the action or instruction you selected. No account information or email address is included in those requests.

AI provider

By default, Wraita routes AI requests through an OpenAI-compatible endpoint. You can configure a custom compatible endpoint in Settings.

Data retention

Wraita does not store AI request or response data in the app itself. Requests are processed in real time and returned to your editor.

Your control

AI features are opt-in and only run when you explicitly trigger an AI action. You can disable AI assistance at any time.
