This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and protect your personal information and screenplay data when you use our website, mobile interface, database synchronize channels, and editor application (collectively, the "Service").
OUR SOLEMN PRIVACY PROMISE: Wraita will NEVER sell, lease, or distribute your private screenplays, dialogue, outlines, or ideas to advertisers or third-party brokers. We NEVER use your creative writing data to train AI models.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum necessary information to deliver an exceptionally secure, collaborative, and professional screenwriting environment.
A. Account Metadata
When you create a Wraita account, we collect your full name, email address, password hashes, and your selected plan tier. This data is critical for account verification, authentication, subscription billing, and support communications.
B. Creative Content (Script Data)
We securely store and process the text content of your screenplays, cast databases, outlines, character notes, collaborators' list, and comments. This data is transmitted securely over HTTPS and stored on our Google Cloud Firestore servers to allow real-time device synchronization and seamless collaboration.
C. On-Demand AI Prompts & Completions
When you explicitly trigger an AI writing assistant action (such as "Rephrase Dialogue" or "Expand Scene"), we transmit the specific highlighted text block and a small context window of surrounding scene lines to our AI processing API. This information is processed transiently and is never stored, logged, or saved by our LLM API providers.
D. Diagnostic & Technical Logs
If you encounter a bug or explicitly select "Copy Diagnostics," we compile temporary technical metadata (such as your browser version, viewport dimensions, script structure counts, and operating system) to help resolve your support requests.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process your personal and creative data strictly to fulfill our services to you:
- To initialize and update your screenwriting drafts seamlessly across your devices.
- To transmit and resolve editor comments and outline adjustments between you and your authorized project collaborators.
- To render and format high-fidelity DOCX and Word exports matching industry-standard guidelines.
- To verify and activate your Pro or Enterprise subscription benefits (such as priority support channels).
3. Data Confidentiality & Secure Storage
Your screenplays are highly confidential assets. We treat them with standard enterprise-grade safety controls:
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is fully encrypted using TLS (HTTPS).
- Encryption at Rest: Your drafts are hosted in secure Firestore databases, encrypted at rest by Google Cloud Infrastructure.
- Access Controls: Firebase Security Rules strictly isolate project databases. No user, developer, or guest can read, search, or edit your drafts unless you explicitly enter their email address in the "Collaborate" panel.
4. AI API Processing Transparency
We are dedicated to safeguarding your creative property from modern artificial intelligence exploitation:
- We do NOT use your screenplay data to train any large language models.
- We require our AI API proxy providers (including OpenRouter and Gemini enterprise endpoints) to contractually guarantee that zero user prompt text transmitted from Wraita is written, stored, or processed to fine-tune machine learning models.
5. Cookies and Local Client Cache
Wraita uses standard client-side storage (LocalStorage, SessionStorage, and IndexedDB) strictly for necessary operational purposes, including:
- Keeping you signed in safely to prevent constant re-authentication.
- Remembering your visual editor preferences (such as your chosen theme: Cedar, Navy, Dark, or White).
- Caching your active drafts locally to enable seamless Progressive Web App (PWA) offline editing when your internet connection drops.
We do not deploy invasive third-party ad-tracking scripts or behavioral tracking cookies on our screenwriting workspace.
6. Your Rights, Data Portability, and Account Purges
You hold complete command over your data. Under standard data privacy guidelines (including GDPR and CCPA), you are guaranteed:
- Portability: You can export your full scripts in Microsoft Word (DOCX) format at any time with a single click.
- Purging (Account Deletion): When you click "Delete Account" inside the Settings tab, our database immediately runs a comprehensive deletion job. All scripts, database records, collaborator shares, and profiles belonging to your user ID are irreversibly destroyed from our live servers. No historical backups of your screenplays are maintained past this deletion cycle.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect adjustments in server infrastructure, legal requirements, or new features. We will publish changes to this page and highlight updates via a banner on our main landing page or email notifications for critical shifts.
